2021-26 OSU & ASU Contract

Good Morning CSEA members!

As some of you may already be aware, a PDF version of our new 2021-2026 OSU/ASU contracts are now available- although I do not have any word on how much longer it will be until we receive the printed copies. I have uploaded the new contract to the website and also linked the PDF's below.

If you are a CSEA member working in Park Operations, you are in the OSU unit; if you work in an administrative/office title you are in the ASU unit. Keep in mind, many of you work in an office setting but are not in office titles, if you are in the Park Worker/PW series or a seasonal in the PRA series, you are in the OSU (Operation Services Unit).

On first impressions, I have found the contract language to be more concise in many articles, which was one of our major negotiating topics- leaving less "open to interpretation." This makes navigating seasonal rights, a continual fight, a lot easier as things are much more clearly defined from what I've read so far.

I intend on making this my priority summer reading and I suggest you all dive in as well, because you have to know what your rights are in order to invoke and protect them and each other.

There are many union building webinars that are continually being offered by CSEA for union stewards, grievance & disciplinary reps and I encourage you all to please get involved, join our local committees! I will be sharing upcoming dates for trainings with you all soon- I hope you will take advantage!
